This Training Course is provided by Medsthetics Ltd. through its clinic The Ear Care Centre Academy. It has been awarded 8 CPD credits by ENT UK. Our Medical director, Dr. David Crispin-Chavez, graduated as a Doctor in Peru and obtained Full registration with the General Medical Council in 1997. After a period of medical training in the East Surrey area, he qualified as a General Practitioner in 2003 and then obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery from the Middlesex University in 2004. Dr. Crispin-Chavez run the Intermediate Ear, Nose and Throat community clinics for the East Surrey area from 2006 until March 2012 and set up and provided a similar service for the Croydon area from 2010 until January 2016. He founded The Ear Care Centre in 2012, which is CQC registered and now is well established in the area and enjoys a solid reputation.


It is a requirement that all delegates should have official registration and comprehensive experience of ear care. The course will be taught in small numbers, Max. 6 trainees, for the benefit of participants.

The course consists of one full day of training, four hours of theory in the morning and practical sessions in the afternoon. Delegates will be using a surgical grade binocular microscope and ENT grade suction equipment, with a digital display TV screen and need to arrange 2 models each to attend on the day at a pre-arranged time.


Accreditation is provided by ENT UK and certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the day.

MENTORSHIP

The Academy provides an optional mentorship programme, if delegates have little experience in ear care.

The mentorship will consist of attendance to one in house clinic weekly for a minimum of 8 weeks to complete 40 supervised microsuction procedures, at the end of which a programme of clinical competencies should be attained.

The Academy reserves the right to extend the mentorship according to the progress of delegates.
